Dental Extractions
Sometimes teeth may need to be removed. Extractions are recommended for a variety of reasons, such as: tooth decay that has progressed too far; fractures that travel too far along the tooth; severe periodontitis that results in the loss of bone level to support the teeth; or wisdom teeth that may inhibit your ability to keep other teeth clean and healthy.
If indicated, we will remove the tooth and prevent you from further infection and/or pain. Once a tooth is removed, there are various options for replacing that missing tooth. These options include implants, bridges, and dentures. We discuss these options in detail with each patient and make recommendations based on their lifestyles and desires.
